GPS World recently published “The Role of GNSS in Driverless Cars” highlighting the vulnerabilities of GNSS signals in providing authenticated localization for driverless cars.   The article, written by John Fischer, describes how the weak, unencrypted and easily jammed or spoofed GNSS signals can negatively impact driverless cars and the need for other types of signals for localization.  Satelles STL (Satellite Time and Location) is specified as a solution to the vulnerabilities.   Link to Article
