Responsibilities

  • Perform acceptance tests alongside our customers.
  • Respond to customer support requests as required

  • Develop or contribute to system test plans and perform system testing

  • Author operations manuals
  • Perform product training to customers
  • Perform support training for new personnel

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a thorough understanding of operational support and troubleshooting strategies
  • Strong experience working on a Linux OS
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Experience leading or coaching junior support staff

Opportunity Summary

As a Senior Navigation Engineer, you will work with the internal development team and with commercial partners to implement the company’s flagship Satellite Time and Location (STL) solution on new platforms.

SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain signal processing algorithms and associated hardware implementations for PNT positioning products
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers and technical peers to solve complex system problems
  • Analyze customer needs and establish product objectives, specifications and technical solutions to ensure products satisfy customer requirements and deliverables
  • Lead system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for future enhancements
  • Contribute to all aspects of the product life cycle (concept, development, integration, qualification, acceptance, delivery, and maintenance)
  • Follows established configuration/change control processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong ability to design, simulate, develop, implement, and troubleshoot advanced real-time digital signal processing solutions on embedded systems platforms with ARM, DSP and FPGA processing elements.
  • In depth experience with digital radio systems such as GPS/GNSS or software definable radios
  • Key DSP techniques include code correlation, FFT, and phase-locked-loops
  • In depth knowledge of baseband radio signal processing, Spread Spectrum receiver design principles, signal processing in hardware and software
  • Knowledge in GPS/GNSS technology and navigation algorithm
  • Familiarity with common RF/HW/FW/SW tools such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, Chipscope, GDB etc.
  • Other important skills for this position include simulation and debugging with MATLAB/Octave and C++, and the ability to develop in a Linux environment
  • Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks
  • Proven ability to work independently, designing, developing, and deploying solutions, and delivering projects on time with minimal direction
  • Ability to listen and evaluate all opinions without bias, and contribute to a common culture of excellence

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 7-10 years of related work experience.

Job Opportunity Summary

Satelles is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to join the team developing state-of-the-art user equipment for the company’s satellite-based position, navigation, and timing (PNT) solutions. The selected candidate will design, develop, modify, enhance and implement real-time firmware for digital signal processing on ARM and DSP platforms.  This position is ideal for a hands-on embedded software engineer who is seeking an opportunity to develop new systems based on a unique and patented space-based technology.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with an internal development team and with commercial partners to implement the company’s flagship Satellite Time and Location (STL) solution on new platforms

  • Codes, tests, and debugs new firmware and makes enhancements to existing firmware
  • Codes and performs unit and integration testing of firmware to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements
  • Collaborates with internal customers and technical peers to solve complex software problems
  • Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for future enhancements
  • Follows established configuration/change control processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Strong ability to develop, implement, and troubleshoot advanced real-time digital signal processing solutions on embedded systems platforms with ARM and DSP processor components.
  • Demonstrated competency with embedded software development environment and tools for real-time embedded operating systems (RTOS), such as VxWorks
  • Demonstrated understanding of embedded system architectures
  • Experience with digital radio systems such as GPS/GNSS or software definable radios
  • Key DSP techniques include code correlation, FFT, and phase-locked-loops
  • Ability to debug both sides of the Hardware/CPU interface, using C/C++, to optimize performance
  • Familiarity with common RF/HW/FW/SW tools such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, Chipscope, GDB etc.
  • Other important skills for this position include simulation and debugging with Matlab/Octave and C++, and the ability to develop in a Linux environment

Satelles is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our growing team! The Senior PM will implement leadership and management knowledge, skills, and experiences that maintain the development team’s task focus, reduce costs, improve quality, maximize performance, improve reliability, and advance overall competitiveness for future work. The Senior PM will be responsible for both on contract growth as well as adjacent business growth and will work closely with the Business Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary customer contact for program information and issue resolution
  • Operates as PM for complex and technical programs by managing all program phases from inception through completion
  • Provides overall management, integration, and coordination of all contract activities, including a technical and administrative infrastructure to ensure the efficient resources planning, program initiation, staffing implementation, and executive direction of all program activities
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, proposal work statements, operational budgets, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the interests of Satelles
  • Provides strategic and tactical guidance to ensure the program is executed according to the agreed upon schedule and budget
  • Coordinate the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets, and contracts for programs
  • Provides contract deliverables on time including monthly status reporting, contractor management reports, program management reviews
  • Be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy of Satelles

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree is required
  • Program Management Experience of 10 – 15 years is highly desired
  • PMP Certified in Program Management is required
  • US Govt DAWIA Level 3 in PM, highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Planning & Execution
  • Demonstrated Leadership of Technical Projects
  • Proposal Leadership/Development
  • Knowledgeable in lifecycle management, quality management, configuration management
  • Experience with Agile development, Integrated Master Plans and Master Schedules (IMP/IMS)

Opportunity Summary

Satelles is seeking an experienced systems administrator to join the team in support of the development of state-of-the-art user equipment for the company’s satellite-based position, navigation, and timing (PNT) solutions. The selected candidate will proactively monitor and maintain the on premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure used by the entire company, and will provide end user support where needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with an internal IT team and with commercial partners to implement and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure

  • Maintains current on-premise infrastructure (VMWare ESXi and Netapp)
  • Configures and maintains cloud services (AWS, Microsoft 365 and Azure)
  • Collaborates with internal customers and technical peers to solve complex problems
  • Follows established configuration/change control processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Strong ability to implement, troubleshoot and improve complex IT environments.
